q DANNY and Gordon are just one of the acts lining up to appear at The Miller's Arms, Bridge Street, Pershore. Danny comes from Ireland and was a student at Pershore College last year. He plays the accordian and is joined by Gordon on Irish pipes. They are at the pub on Sunday. Tonight (Thursday), it's the turn of Gary Hopkins and on August 24 it's Dave Onions.

q GET a taste of the Wild West and all things American at the Three Counties Showground in Malvern, later this month. The American Extravaganza is on over the Bank Holiday weekend and features a variety of entertainment past and present from American history.

One hall will stage indoor exhibits and trade stands and another will feature line dancing, Country and Western and rock & roll bands.
