SURVEY TEMPERATURE HOTS UP: Campaigners against the double yellow lines have erected a big poster outside the Coach and Horses proclaiming "Don't let double yellow lines spoil our beautiful village - Please say NO". The parish council is in the process of undertaking a survey of all households in the village to gain the feelings about the proposed scheme linked to a new car park at the allotments.
PLAYPARK REOPENED: Now that the climbing frame play equipment that was causing problems on safety grounds has been removed, the playpark has been reopened for the school holidays. The parish council are to consider replacing it with a different type of play equipment.
BANNS FOR THE HALL: As Cotswold District Council are to close the registry office for redecoration next year, the village hall committee have agreed to allow the hall to be used for wedding ceremonies and receptions when that takes place. The registrar has pointed out that prospective users of the hall may be seen peering into the hall from outside when considering their plans so they should not be treated with too much suspicion !
CHURCH NEWS: On Sunday, Rev David Ashburner will be taking a service of Holy Communion at St James at 8am. Peter Mason will lead Matins later in the morning at 11am.
