Evesham Youth AC
ON the final round of this year's Journal Series, Joe Sliwinski took a good win with roach, perch and eels all taken on the feeder for a weight of 3.15.8 from peg 29.
Second place went to Andrew Beasley with 3.3.0 followed by Shaun Bennett with 1.14.8.
Top five positions: Dave Jones 49 pts; 2 S Bennett 44; 3 Danny Blowers 40; 4 J Sliwinski 36; =5 Luke Harrison, A Beasley 31.
Top Intermediate was Lewis Payne while the top colt is Jon Tingle.
The club is running the Rob Langstone Trophy match next Monday at Rissington Road Pool, Bourton-on-the-Water.
Evesham DAA
THE Pairs Cup fished on Common Road saw father and son pairing Ray and Des Nosworthy of Bidford AC take top spot with a combined weight of 9.2.0.
In the first round of the Knockout Cup Servicemen's A defeated Jubilee Gold at The Naight by 44 points to 38.
Four other sides progressed to the next stage - Evesham WMC, Bait Box A and B and Jubilee Silver - and ties should have been completed yesterday.

JIM Blanch earned his first win in the Severn Shield Series match at Pitchcroft with a net of perch and skimmers taken on stick float for a weight of 7.0.0.
Overall, the Severn disappointed with heavy boat traffic affecting sport.

Senior members will compete for the Jubilee Cup and juniors for the Dobbins Cup on the River Arrow at Broom on Sunday when the draw will take place at 7am at the bridge.
Members are asked to complete matches in the Tony Pitcher Knockout as soon as possible.
Evesham and District Disabled AC and Partnerships
SUNDAY saw 13 members turn out for their weekly Sunday match, this week held at Lemington Lakes, Moreton-in-Marsh.
Fish were caught at regular intervals throughout the five hour match, even though the weather turned out wet, everyone had a good days fishing.
This week's winner was for the third time at the lake wheelchair angler Wayne Panting with another creditable weight of 44.3.0.
Second was young angler Elliot Canning with a fine weight of 26.9.0 and third was Phil Castle with a good 23.0.0.
Next week's match is at Lemington Lakes, draw is at the later time of 9am.
Tunnel Barn Farm
ONCE again there was another good days fishing with a new five-hour match record being set by Charlie Shaw with 86.9.0 coming from peg 14 on the House pool.
Most of the fish were taken up in the water on meat and corn. Good back up weights made this a cracking match. Andy Jackson (47.12.0), Derek Cullip (46.15.0).
Pleasure anglers are taking bags of up to 100 lb fishing pole with meat and corn on the Bottom Pool for carp to 8lb and tench to 5 lb.
Later in the day, floating bread is tempting the bigger fish.
The Top Pool is fishing well with weights in double figures. Plenty of bream, crucians and tench mainly on maggot and pellet.
Carp and roach are showing well on The Canal with occasional bream. Best bait maggot and paste for carp.

Lenches Lakes
THERE have been consistent catches despite the rise in temperature.
Stalking visible fish has been possible during the day but early morning as brought the best catches of well conditioned fish in the 2-3 lb class.
Evesham WMC
FISHING at peg 4 on the club water at Cropthorne, Andy Ham-merton had the top weight of 4lbs 4ozs.
Mick Bearcroft was second with 2lbs 14ozs and third was Kevin Colston.
The next match is at Lemington Lakes, draw 7am. Members are reminded that a deposit of £5 is needed to secure a place on the coach for the annual at Melksham.
