LAST Monday evening, I was watching a film on TV.
It was an old film and I watched it as I am an old person (76, in fact).
It was called The Adventures of Robin Hood and the plot struck me as how like the situation we have today.
In the movie, Robin Hood battled with Prince John and the dastardly Sir Guy of Gisbourne over the killing taxes that they imposed on the poor of that time.
For Prince John, substitute Tony Blair, and for Sir Guy of Gisbourne, Gordon Brown. Like their fictional counterparts, they are imposing killing taxes on the poor and the pensioners.
When will a modern-day Robin Hood stand up and fight for us? I pray that it is soon before we all die under the yoke of (Prince) Tony Blair and (Sir) Gordon Brown's stealthy taxes.
