THIRTEEN proved unlucky for Pete Jennings after his team made the long trip to Knockhill in Scotland for Sunday's round of the British 125 Championships.
The motorcycle sales manager at Knott's Motorcycles in Stratford crashed out on lap 13 after a collision with another rider at the circuit's infamous hairpin.
"It was the championship leader who took me out of the race," Jennings moaned."He lost points as a result and I gathered some more cuts and bruises to go with those from the early part of the season."
Jennings, who lives in Offenham, had qualified well to start from third place on the grid and looked set to get among the leaders before the incident.
"The season has not gone well and I have had four did not finish results out of eight races," he reflected.
"You just have to stay positive in this sport, however, and with four more rounds to go I still reckon that can move up that championship table from my present spot in 15th place."
The determined racer goes to Cadwell Park on Sunday, August 28 for round nine to see if his luck will change.
