ALEX Mortimer's success at last weekend's British Karting Championships at Larkhall in Scotland was met with great delight by the workforce at Waterside-based R P Mortimer Ltd.
The Evesham motor cycle distributors have shared in the 15-year-olds track success courtesy of father Robin who is justifiably proud of his son's achievements.
Alex, who lives in Hallow and attends Chantry School at Martley, has only been racing three years. But, after becoming Intermediate champion at Shenington 12 months ago, he eclipsed that effort by taking the title among the cream of the UK drivers.
Track triumph is engrained in the Mortimer family with father Robin a former Formula Ferrari driver and son Alex's dream is to work on the technical side in Formula 1.
