AN exhibition of watercolours and a sculpture from a husband-and-wife team of artists is on show in Worcester Cathedral until the end of the month.
The paintings, being exhibited in the dean's chapel, show 65 cathedrals from all over the country, carefully captured by Charles Bone. The exhibition has already been shown in the Mall Gallery in London and in Canterbury Cathedral.
The watercolours are also available in a book, Watercolours of Cathedrals, which is on sale at the gift shop, priced £25.
Charles Bone's sculptor wife, Sheila Mitchell, is exhibiting her Madonna and Child. The statue is one of five casts from the original, which was commissioned as a pilgrim statue to be taken round the British Isles, which was blessed by the Pope and which has now been taken to Ireland.
The Rev. Canon Bruce Ruddock said: "It is a very attractive exhibition and we do commend Mr Bone on producing this record of our heritage."
