HAS anyone noticed that we have just had a covert increase in our Council Tax in Herefordshire?
In the leaflet advising us of the new contract and new arrangements for collections of rubbish (which we received three days after our usual collection day and one day before the new collection day!), I notice that instead of the usual two rubbish sacks, we are to be given just one sack in the future.
We have just paid £1.99 (let's say £2) for a pack of ten sacks. In other words, to replace the 52 rubbish sacks which we were given free each year it will cost us about £10. Well, at least senior citizens will know on what to spend their Christmas bonus!
