A WOMAN who found stolen computer goods in her home planned to get rid of the items by putting them into a skip.
Tina Price had put a youth up for the night in her Droitwich home, but she discovered he had stolen the games.
Worcester magistrates heard yesterday how the youth, who cannot be named for legal reasons, broke into Droitwich market on Friday, May 5.
Julian Harris, prosecuting, said the alarm was activated in the early hours.
"A quantity of electrical items had been taken," he said.
"The youth was found by the police and was arrested. Following further investigations police approached the defendant.
"She was seen carrying two bags of electrical goods including a Nintendo and other items. She told the police that the youth had brought them into her house. Police arrested her on suspicion of handling."
Price, who now lives at Walwyn Road, Colwall, admitted handling stolen goods.
Andrew Childs, defending, said the 31-year-old was of previous good character.
"She shares the property with her partner and the young man who took the items was staying with them overnight," he said.
"The defendant was concerned to have the items in her property.
He said Price put the items into bags and was going to put them into a skip on her way to work.
"She faced a big dilemma," said Mr Childs. "She wanted to get rid of the items as soon as possible.
"She realises she should've taken them into the police but she was worried."
Price was fined £200 and ordered to pay £50 court costs.
