TOWN outplayed visiting Cheltenham in this pre-season friendly although Cheltenham opened the scoring after ten minutes when they the home side's offside trap.

After that it was nearly all one way traffic although Town goalkeeper Dean Watson made one excellent save.
The Cheltenham defence could not cope with Town's Matt Cooke, who scored a hat-trick, and Lee Hooper who scored the fourth.
The Town defence and midfield looked reliable and solid and considering most of the players were new to each other their performance was most encouraging and augers well for the season.
