TEENAGE striker James Brown is ready to make his mark for Evesham United as they kick off their Dr Martens League Western Division season at home to Sutton Coldfield Town (3pm).
The youngster arrived at the club's Common Road ground in pre-season to train with the youth team.
But he impressed Robins' bosses enough to be handed a chance in the club's league opener.
Boss Phil Mullen said he would play some part in the match -- possibly in the starting line-up alongside new club captain Steve Tasylor.
The manager said: "We will be without Sam Bowen for the first two games because of a suspension carried over from last year.
"Dean Roberts is just back from holiday and Paul Burton will be out for two or three weeks with damaged ribs.
"James has done well in the friendlies he has played, scored a good goal against Witney and is full of confidence."
Tomorrow's game will also see new goalkeeper Damien Beattie making his Evesham debut.
