A WORCESTER barber's shop has had a hair-raising makeover which has proved spookily popular.
Hair 'em Scare 'em in Kilbury Drive, Spetchley, has been run by Irvine Porters for the last 20 years. But his partner Janet Morris decided it needed a makeover.
Murals were painted on the wall depicting spooky scenes and characters.
"It used to be really boring in the shop so we decided to do something to brighten the place up a bit," said Ms Morris.
"We thought about painting Disney characters but we wanted something a bit more original so we went for a scary theme.
"Once we started we couldn't stop. We've even got a coffee table which has been converted into a coffin.
"The murals are really good. We've got scenes from some of the horror films and witches flying around.
"We've had a great reaction from the customers. business is definitely booming. Even young children like coming in."
