NEWLY-named Worcester venue Evolution celebrates its launch tonight with guest DJ Mistress from Hereford's celebrated Naughty But Nice.
The former Gonzo's has decided to opt for the Faithful City's alternative crowd who won't have to wear patent leather shoes and slacks to guarantee entry.
"Because we're only a small venue, we've decided to go underground," explained Emma Pratten, now running the Lowesmoor club with her mum.
Gonzo's was well known for its regular Wednesday comedy nights, which Evolution has switched to Thursdays so fans can take advantage of a 2am licence and a chance to shake their booties to the disco.
Other forthcoming attractions include band Sponge in November as well as some Kerrang and Metal Hammer-sponsored metal fests.
, and foam parties.
Naughty But Nice at Evolution. £4 on the door all night.
