A BURGLARY victim is paying twice for the crime because she is scared to return to her Worcester home.
Raiders struck while single mum Lisa Pugh was staying at her mother's and she is now nervous about going back to her Tolladine flat.
Her mother, Barbara Weston, is furious with the offenders who ransacked her daughter's home and stole her prized stereo.
"I want these people to feel guilty that they've taken her one joy in life - her stereo," she said.
"I just hope these people realise how much upset they've caused a young girl living on her own, and the terror she now faces of being in her own flat.
"I'm more angry than her but she is upset."
Miss Pugh, aged 25, who has a nine-month-old-daughter Jade Bailey, discovered the break-in at her Tolladine Road home when she was alerted by her step-father and father.
"The thought of staying there again fills me with dread and the idea of going back makes me feel nervous in case they break-in again and I'm there with the baby," she said.
"I'm upset about the stereo which I listened to a lot.
"The only way I can replace it is to buy a new one but money is tight and most goes on the baby."
Vicki Davies, from Worcester police, said officers were determined to catch the offender.
"Burglary always leaves a nasty feeling behind long after the event," she said.
"Intelligence-led policing is transferring the fear of crime back on to burglars with much of that 'intelligence' coming from the public.
"That help comes from people telling us when they are offered items at a price to good to be true or seeing anything suspicious in the neighbourhood."
Police have also urged people to security code belongings to prove they have been stolen when they are recovered.
Anyone with information about the crime call Worcester police on 01905 723888 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
