In the Evening News on Monday, August 14, a letter from Jerry Williams was headlined: "Welcome to the asylum seekers".
He wrote: "Britain's hospitals and computer industry could do with hiring asylum seekers."
Worcestershire and Herefordshire are due to accept hundreds of asylum seekers in the next 12 months. If vacancies are needed in skilled and unskilled sectors, our own unemployed must come first. Why are there so many unemployed in Worcester when so many vacancies appear in our very own Evening News?
Jerry Williams, the co-ordinator for refugees and asylum seekers, is no doubt well paid.
I think he should think of our own unemployed more.
