EVESHAM United boss Phil Mullen believes his side is already showing more resilience than last season.
Mullen's men travel to Blakenall in the Dr Martens League Western Division tonight (7.45) and the boss hopes they can build on Saturday's 2-1 win over Sutton Coldfield Town.
He said: "We worked very hard for it and could have come away very comfortable winners. But we kept them in the game and never finished them off.
"But a lot of those sort of games last year we were ending up not winning."
Mullen may have to make changes for tonight's game against a Blakenall side managed by former United pair Paul Knox and Mick Folland.
Defender Paul West is doubtful with an ankle injury and young striker James Brown is unavailable, while front men Sam Bowen completes a suspension and Paul Burton is out with a rib injury.
