MORETON Show organisers are calling on clubs and societies in the area to grab the bull by the horns and enter the show's great pantomime cow competition.
So far, they say, they have not had a single entry for the contest, which was a big success at last year's golden anniversary show.
There is just over a week until this year's event on September 2 and show society secretary Tim Gardner is at a loss to know why no-one has been dairying (ouch) enough to come forward.
The competition is open to any team of three - one for the back end, one for the front, and a leader - and there is £400 in prize money to be won by entrants.
Mr Gardner said there was still time for people to enter. "As long as they are in time for us to deal with the passes, that's fine. We can take entries right up to the day," he said. No entries can be taken on the day, but people calling in person at the show office can enter as late as September 1.
