ON behalf of the Strays Rehoming Fund would you offer everyone who supported our dog show on Sunday, August 13, our sincere apologies for the disgusting state of Pitchcroft and its facilities.
There had been a race meeting the previous Friday evening and no attempt at cleaning up had been made. Bins were full and overturned and the toilet block, left unlocked, was in an appalling state. Ironically, we were charged £100 deposit to ensure we left the area clean and tidy!
We do apologise, and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who, despite all the mess, came - and stayed - to support our charity.
ISABEL L G FIELD,
Chairperson,
Strays Rehoming Fund,
Wichenford.
