WORCESTER'S bid to sign Argentinian prop Alejandro Moreno has fallen through.
The 27-year-old, who has won six caps for his country, has decided to join Italian club Parma instead after they came in with a last-minute offer.
Sixways coach Adrian Skeggs said: "It is a bit of a kick in the guts -- I am very disappointed.
"He wanted to come here and his good friend Andre Moretti is already here, but he was offered a deal he couldn't refuse."
Worcester are now likely to look for another prop before the start of the new Premiership Two season.
Another new arrival, Australian flanker David Fryday, is set to make his debut in tonight's friendly away to Northampton's B team (7.30).
Young scrum-half Chris Simpson-Daniel and flanker Simon Daws are also both included after representing England at the Students World Cup in Rome.
Worcester: Calder, McLean, Langkilde, Higgins, Tuipulotu, Va'a, Simpson-Daniel, Lyman, Lamerton, Collins, Zaltzman, Denhardt, Webster, Carter, Scriven. Replacements: Hall, Hartland, Daws, Fryday, Pellow, Meredith, Yapp.
