A BROMSGROVE baby who was born 16 weeks early is set to be guest of honour at a concert to raise cash for the hospital where he received life-saving treatment.
Brandon Kimberley was born on March 4 at Birmingham's City Hospital after his mum, Vicki, was transferred from the Alexandra Hospital, in Redditch.
When Brandon was born he weighed just 1lb 6oz, less than a bag of sugar, but now, after returning home four weeks ago, the tot weighs in at 6lb 4oz.
Vicki, of Farmers Road, Stoke Heath, is so grateful to the hospital for looking after her son she asked her dad, Roger Humphreys, if she could hold a fundraising concert.
He is president of Bromsgrove's Labour Club and put the idea to the committee, which agreed to stage it at the Worcester Road venue, on Saturday September 2.
Vicki, aged 32, plans to be at the event with her husband, 33-year-old Adrian, and, of course, Brandon.
She said: "It is really nice to have Brandon home -- it's like having him all over again.
"Without the hospital he wouldn't be here today and I hope we raise as much as possible on the night."
6 OH BABY: Vicki and Brandon Kimberley, who was born 16 weeks early.
