NEWLY promoted Wychbold RBL opened the new season with a richly deserved victory in the Redditch Combination Division One.
They looked impressive from the start and took the lead on 12 minutes. Good passing from Neil McCullough and Martin Smith created a chance for Adrien Crowther who volleyed home.
Mappleborough soon found that the home side's defence, well marshalled by Martin Caines and Richard Stormes, was rock solid.
On 30 minutes, Lee Payne scored a superb goal to put RBL 2-0 up.
Good creative passing by the RBL front line was well polished off by Andy Crowther after 55 minutes and another goal came in the 70th minute courtesy of Matthew Jenkins.
Jon Reeves's troops slackened off in the last 20 minutes and allowed Mappleborough to snatch two goals scored by Nicholas Busby and Mark Witton.
