A YOUTHFUL Bromsgrove Second XI outclassed Stourbridge on Saturday.
Electing to put the visitors in on a typically good Bromsgrove wicket, the Boars took a firm grip right from the start. Stourbridge found runs difficult to come by as Ade Lawton (3-38) and Mark Evenson piled on the pressure.
Grosvenor (27) and Goode (24) were the only hopes but they were stifled by the introduction of Charlie Taylor (2-3) and Mark Bilborough.
Stourbridge were finally all out for 124 in the 54th over with Ian Ramsey (3-23) mopping up the tail.
Bilborough (20) and Mike Bennison put on a quickfire 35 in seven overs before the introduction of England U15 leg spinner Andrew Holmes stemmed the flow of runs as he showed what a prodigious talent he is.
But this was too little, too late for Stourbridge as Town were brought home by Bennison (63 not out) and Ian Walker (19 not out) with five overs to spare.
