GREIG Centre trustees appealed for townsfolk's help at a public meeting last Monday to find the best way for the centre to provide its facilities in the future.
Three long-term plans being considered include re-developing the existing site, selling it and moving to a venue next to Alcester Grammar School or continuing as it is with revenue and capital support.
As part of the process, users and non-users of the facility, with potential funding partners and councillors, will be targeted and encouraged to take part in an in-depth consultation.
The purpose of the meeting was to discuss how the consultation should be undertaken and those who attended were asked what information needed to be made available, what questions needed to be asked and if they could help during this period.
Chairman of trustees Philip Talbot said: "It was a brainstorming session to get the community working for us to identify the best way forward."
Scores of ideas were pitched for trustees to review, from how to publicise and launch the consultation period to the possibility of setting up a telephone helpline facility if, for example, people had not received their consultation document.
Greig Centre director Andy Mason said: "We want to find out what questions people may want answered and what information they would like so they can form an opinion for the future.
"We want the whole process to be transparent as there is so much feeling about the existing site.
"We want people to form opinions based on the whole story and the right information."
Details of the development options were not discussed as this will happen during the consultation process at a later stage.
