LIFE-size puppets thrilled Saturday shoppers in the Spa.

Puppeteer John Garland brought along a collection of his favourite characters to entertain folk at Salter's Shopping Centre.

John gave four shows for excited crowds.

His puppet companions included a skeleton, mouse, teddies and emu.

Centre manager Alison Alsbury said: "The shows were great and appealed to shoppers across the board.

"Children, teenagers, couples and pensioners all crowded around to enjoy the fun."
