A pulsating game at the Langland Stadium last night saw ten-man Malvern come back from 3-1 down to earn their second successive draw in the Banks's Brewery Premier Division.
Visitors Lye went ahead early on only for Joe Maidment to level after a Sean Cotterill header came back off the post.
Lye netted again on 20 and 55 minutes and, after Simon Judge had been denied by the woodwork, Cotterill reduced the arrears following a goalmouth scramble in the 68th minute.
Any hope of an equaliser looked dashed when Town had Darren Wade sent off for pushing but this seemed to inspire the home side.
Judge fired wide while Cotterill hit the bar and had an effort ruled out for offside.
The equaliser finally came ten minutes from time, Andy Shepherd netting after a scramble in the area.
n Bromyard Town failed to secure what would have been a hard-earned draw when a Scott Jackson goal five minutes from time gave visitors Kington a 2-1 victory.
The visitors took the lead on seven minutes when Steve Radzjiowski capitalised on an error by Town keeper Mark Hopkins to net from close range.
Hopkins redeemed himself with a superb save to deny Kington a second from a close range header and then again moments later.
Sean Davies headed Bromyard level on 29 minutes but, after more good work from Hopkins, Jackson blasted home for Kington's winner.
n Westfields secured their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over newly promoted Wellington at Rotherwas.
And the winning margin could have been greater had keeper Marc Priday not pulled off a number of fine saves against his former club.
The game's only goal came on 15 minutes when Kevin Gwilliam sent Mark Hibbard clear who chipped the keeper from 12 yards.
Wellington had Ian Gray sent off late in the first half and he was following the dressing room by Mark Fish as the visitors ended the match with nine players.
