A FIRST half hat-trick from Neil Hesson condemned Stourport Swifts to their second defeat in four Midland Football Alliance games when they lost 3-1 at Oldbury United.

Swifts were behind after just four minutes when Hesson beat the offside trap to lob 'keeper Derek Dudley and on 17 minutes a low cross from the left allowed Hesson to side-foot home.

Swifts should have hit back on 20 minutes but Keith Rostill scuffed his shot after rounding the keeper.

Hesson completed his hat-trick on 38 minutes and although Swifts had most of the play, they couldn't convert their chances and had to wait until the 72nd minute for Lee Booth's headed consolation goal.
