AT Worthing on Saturday, Droitwich Spa Bowls Club lost to Liberty, of Havering, by 12 shots in the NatWest Trophy Finals.
Skip Phil Moule once again pulled off a winning rink 20-14 assisted by Pete Davis, Ron Ashby and Rob Dawson.
But skip Ian Jenkins's rink of Richard Hall, Hughie Lammas and Dave Barton lost 29-11.
They bowled well but did not hit the form of recent weeks as the Essex team seized on any chance which Droitwich gave them.
But the Town players were still basking in the glory of reaching the last four from around 2,500 starters.
Jenkins, Moule and Hall return to Worthing on Thursday to play in the Triples Championship Finals.
