THE August general meeting held at Arrow Valley Countryside Centre proved to be an eye opener as members of this newly formed guild brought samples of their work to show to others on show night.
Members were able to chat informally, sharing ideas, skills and giving inspiration to colleagues in an enjoyable evening.
The show night was preceded by the business agenda, where future events and social activities were discussed.
In order to accommodate the wide variety of skills being introduced, it was decided at the meeting to rename the guild as The Arrow Valley Art and Craft Guild.
The next meeting, at the countryside centre on Monday September 18, at 7pm, should prove to have a cutting edge as Alan Hartley and Yvonne Smith team up to give hands-on experience with fretsaws.
This will be open to non-members (fee is £1), so come along and join the guild at play.
