PLANNERS dismissed advice from traffic bosses and passed a scheme to transform a historic Bromsgrove pub into offices.
Members of Bromsgrove District Council's planning and highways committee met on Monday to discuss the scheme.
They had visited The Britannia pub, in Worcester Road, after July's meeting to investigate parking and access facilities which traffic experts had dubbed 'dangerous.'
On Monday Cllr Dr Elizabeth Shaw (Con, Stoney Hill) said she was pleased the pub, which dates back more than 100 years, could be turned into offices because it was better than a fast food takeaway.
She added nearby residents had feared the premises would be vandalised if something was not done.
Highways partnership manager Jon Fraser told the committee he stood by the report which stated visibility problems for cars turning out from Peter's Finger, which leads to the building, onto the busy Worcester Road.
