Smallwood hospital - A meeting of the Board of Management was held on Tuesday.
The secretary (Mr H A Pearson) read this report as follows: The House Committee again assure the Board of Management that the general working of the hospital in all its details is very satisfactory and there are many evidences that its usefulness is increasingly appreciated.
One hundred and eight patients have been treated during the present year as against 95 in the same period of last year; there are now nine patients under treatment.
The appeal for new subscriptions sent out in the spring by the secretary have had a very poor result.
