THE world of the stage won itself some new friends last week with a summer theatre school at Weston-sub-Edge.
The village's Hall of Friendship hosted the annual theatre summer school for children run by tutor Jane Stevens, which has previously been staged in Blockley.
This was the 11th year of her week-long summer school, which takes in aspects of theatre such as make-up, acting, stage management and lighting. The class of 2000 worked on stories by E Nesbitt, JK Rowling and Roald Dahl, The Tempest by Shakespeare and Tchaikovsy's Swan Lake.
