THE funeral of a Droitwich woman who died after a crash was due to be held today.
Keen walker and golfer Phyllis Porter died in hospital last week, after the accident on the A46 at Haselor, near Alcester.
She had been driving her red Honda Accord.
Mrs Porter was taken to Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham, but died last Thursday.
Vauxhall Astra driver Thomas Dawson, aged 38, from Norfolk, suffered multiple injuries and is "stable" in Selly Oak.
Mrs Porter's husband Roy, 70, paid tribute to the 61-year-old, who he affectionately called Phillybeans.
"I have been inundated with calls from people who knew Phil," he said.
"We both loved the outdoors and she had many friends because we shared so many hobbies."
The couple were keen ramblers, members of Redditch Golf Club and the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust.
An article they co-wrote about a walk from the River Severn to its source in Wales, is to feature in a forthcoming members' magazine.
Mrs Porter, who had no children, retired three years ago as manager's secretary at Barclays bank branches in Kings Norton and Bromsgrove.
Her funeral was due to take place today at Worcester Crematorium with family flowers only invited.
Donations can be made to the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust via George Crump & Son, Funeral Directors, 33 Hanbury Road, Droitwich, WR9 8PW.
