MAYBE K Bourne (Letters, July 27), living on high ground in Newton Close, wouldn't be quite so complacent if he had stinking river water flowing through the house most winters and then, having looked forward to the summer, finding that he has around 100 motorbikes screaming past his windows from 8.30am until 10.30pm on most fine Sundays.
Most of the houses on Severnside North have only one living room which is right on the road, so for a lot of us Sunday afternoon is spent with the noise of boisterous bikers sitting on our doorsteps drinking and "chattering" to each other, not to mention the fact that they often run their engines just to show their friends how "sweet" the engine sounds.
Maybe if K Bourne thinks that future pedestrianisation will increase the value of our properties, he would like to buy one now to make some money in the future.
