A NEW and exciting form of family fun will be making its debut at a Kidderminster pub this weekend - in the shape of human table football.

The event at the Mare & Colt on Sunday is being staged in aid of children's charity Barnardos and will be held again in future if it proves popular among regulars.

Organiser Dave Moore said: "The game is similar to a gigantic table-top football concept, but instead of wooden men, it is played by humans.

"Teams will consist of six to eight members who will be velcroed into place on the inflatable playing area."

To add a bit of spice to the occasion, each match will be refereed and there will be a commentary.

The pub's general manager Ken Edwards said: "We all felt this would be a great event, not only for a bit of fun, but also to raise funds for the Barnardos charity in the Midlands.

"The more teams the merrier, and more much-needed cash for kids."
