FOR the last 20 years my sister and I have worked as volunteers at Kidderminster Hospital on wards E3 and E4.
We have shared the good (and bad) times with staff of all levels and come to regard them and the hospital as part of an extended family.
Over the last weeks we have watched the unfolding saga of preparations for early ward closures and staff waiting to know where they will be "slotted in" across the county and have shared in their sense of loss and anger.
With great sadness we want to wish them well for the future and thank them all for their devotion and loyalty to our hospital.
"Love you, miss you, thanks you for everything".
Certainly, for all of us, this is the end of an era.
