THE Seniors Championship was played as a 36-hole competition over two days at Evesham.
The winner was Robin Flack, who was level par on the first day, and two under on the second, playing off a handicap of 14.
Wyn Griffiths was runner-up with rounds of four over and four under, third was Ken Perrett level and 1 under. The Wilson Jug was presented by Dr David Wilson.
The winner of the midweek medal was John Duval (77-8-69) from runner up David Wilson (87-16-71) and G Jones (99-27-72).
The Baker Cup was played for in good conditions, resulting in some excellent scores. The runaway winner was Christian Walker, who carded a net 64, off an handicap of 12. Runner up was David Vincent (85-16-69) on countback from Richard Minton (74-5-69).
The C team had a convincing 4 - 1 home win against Redditch. Brian Betts and Nigel Payne, Mike Izod and Dave Hartland, Idris Cooper and Ken Hunt and Paul Holder and Barry Saggers all won their games.
The seniors' winning streak ended at Tewkesbury Park, where they lost 5 - 1. The winning pair were Ken Piddington and Frank Hanley. They also lost 4 - 1 at Malvern, the captain Brian Chapman, partnered by Peter Edmunds, won their match.
