6 MAY I suggest that if Councillor Gary Kibblewhite finds council business "bore the pants" off him as I read in the Evening News on Wednesday, Aug 16, he could always drive a taxi for a week.
After picking up many passengers who are drunk, smelly, rude, make continual racist or sexist comments and - the icing on the cake, subject you to verbal and often threatened physical abuse all the way to their destination - I would hazard a guess that the councillor might be less inclined to jump out, open the door, give a big smile and wish them a good day.
At the very least he could speak from a well-informed and personal stand point next time he complains about Worcester taxi drivers.
For the record, I am a middle-aged female licensed taxi driver who on numerous occasions has gone out of my way to help lost motorists. So come on councillor, don't tar us all with the same brush. All passengers certainly are not all bad, are they?
