THE annual end of season floodlit tournament for the South Warw-ickshire Area PRS Summer League followed by the presentation evening will be held on Sunday, September 3, at Henley Tennis Club, sponsored by Tony King of Alcester.
The tournament, which involves a compulsory entry of one pair from each of the teams in the league, consists of two competitions.
The top ten teams in the League play for the Floodlit 'Shield' trophy while the bottom 12 teams play in the 'Plate' competition.
The format involves matches of 11 games duration beginning with a first round of pool games before the knockout stage is entered. The first matches begin at 4pm prompt with the finals taking place at 8pm.
Trophies will be presented in the clubhouse by the sponsors, with Tony King presenting the Floodlit Shields and the League Cups being presented by Fred and Betty Prudden of 'Prudden Road Surfacing', Redditch.
Also, cheques to the value of £50 will be presented to be used for junior development by the teams finishing top of each of the three divisions.
The cheques are being donated by their donor Ian Dallas of Redditch Roadstone.
