WELL, all the planning, running around and fixing is nearly completed and our 700 Celebrations will soon begin.
Gates will open at 10am tomorrow (Saturday) morning, coffee will be available, Pig Roast at lunchtime followed by Tug of War at 2.30pm. The 'England's Glory' Morris Dancers will be entertaining through the afternoon. Teas will be served during the afternoon with locally made cakes and scones.
The wonderful grounds and gardens will be open for you to wander around at your leisure.
The church in all its splendour with floral tributes to local personalities and old local crafts with artefacts and photos. More history and photos will be on display in the brand new Conference Centre at the Court; together with archives of church and local history on loan from County Hall.
We are also having a 1960 fire engine complete with uniforms and equipment, by kind permission of Farmers Arms & Tod Hill.
Sunday begins at 10am at our Parish Church with a Thanksgiving Service. The Venerable Joy Tetley will preach, we are fortunate also in having the Benefice Choir. Join us for coffee after the service. The rest of the day will be one of leisure with refreshments available and a Fancy Dress during the afternoon at 3.30pm for the children.
