I HAVE recently visited the town of Malvern and have read with interest the comments of your readers regarding the 'Water Feature' that has been situated at Belle Vue Terrace.

I find it quite attractive but its size does tend to over-shadow the statue of Sir Edward Elgar, which stands in close proximity.

I do not know which feature arrived first on this site but as a visitor I did wonder whether a 'planning blunder' had occurred. Is it possible to move the statue a metre to one side and allow it to stand more prominently, perhaps with one hand on the railings, gazing over the Worcestershire countryside?

To many, the word Malvern is associated more with Elgar, than 'water' or the 'Hills'. Long may it remain so.
