SIX thousand pounds is the top prize for the main race at Worcester's evening National Hunt race meeting tomorrow.
The big race of the evening, the Daily Star Racing Festival Handicap Hurdle, goes off at 6.40pm. In all there are seven races at Pitchcroft, with the first one due to start at 4.40pm.
Leading trainer Martin Pipe's horse Lady for Life, which has won at Worcester in the past, will be running and Ian Williams from Herefordshire also has his horse Tory Boy entered for the race.
Tashreef from Yorkshire has been racing well recently and is one of the 150 entrants at the four-day declaration stage.
Worcester racecourse manager John Baker is pleased with the number of entrants as he said some meetings across the country weren't attracting as many horses.
The gates open at 3.30pm and there will be extra entertainment including karts and a bouncy castle.
