THE Grand Theatre in Wolverhampton has announced its autumn line-up, that includes the world premiere in September of Eternal Flame, starring Bobby Davro.
The entertainer will be making his pop debut for the show, which has been produced by Qdos - the company behind Boogie Nights.
The musical is set in the 1980s - complete with legwarmers, thin ties and white socks - courtesy of a trip back in time for a man trying to get through St Peter's Pearly Gates.
Sophie Lawrence - Diane Butcher in EastEnders - joins 1980s Scouse pop starlet Sonia and West End performer Damien Flood for the festival of bad fashion and hairstyles.
The show has also been given the go-ahead by George Michael to feature seven Wham hits, including Club Tropicana, Wham Rap and Freedom.
The 1980s feel is enhanced by live versions of songs from Michael Jackson, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and The Human League.
