AFTER Saturday's league tie against Dumbleton was called off Colwall entertained Bolingbruck from Swindon and secured an emphatic 157 run win in this Sunday friendly.

Batting first Colwall looked to score a large total from the start as Tom Wolfendale (39) and Richard Burgess (26) pushed six runs an over.
Tim Riley increased the run rate further with a quick fire 31 and Mark Sutton added 24 to leave Colwall at 205 for 5 after 30 overs.
Paul Barnes next carried Colwall past the 250 mark with an unbeaten 47 for 22 for Russ Bennett followed by a hard hitting last over by Jordan Kontarines saw Colwall reach 269 for 7 off their 40 overs. Pick of the bowlers was Rees, collecting 2 for 42 off 8 overs.
Bolingbruck never looked to challenge Colwall's impressive total and lost wickets steadily throughout their innings. Despite scoring 69 off the opening 15 overs only Rees (18) offered any solid resistance to the tight bowling of Eddie Hill. He took 2 for 14 off 6 overs but is was Peter Pritchard who claimed Rees' wicket to start the visitors downfall.
Dan Richardson took two wickets for the loss of 30 runs in nine overs before Dave Sutton weighed in with three wickets in ten overs an for the loss of only 15 runs.
It was left for Edmund Palmer to bat out the remaining overs for the visitors but Kontarines claimed the final wicket of Garick in the 36th over to see Bolingbruck 112 all out.
