THE new season of the Malvern Table Tennis League, which will again be generously sponsored by Lambert & Wade, Solicitors, will start on September 18 with 32 teams in three divisions.
In spite of losing three teams the league has gained one to leave them only two teams less.
The new team will be playing from Manor Park, the Allsorts, and one of the most promising aspects of the year will be that four teams will be playing from the new Ledbury Leisure Centre, where the playing conditions will be excellent.
With several teams experiencing difficulties with the closure of the existing facilities, the opening of the Ledbury Centre has come at just the right time.
The new first division will be comprised of :-
Manor Park Cavaliers, Express and Pumas, Ledbury Lions and Merlins, YMCA Magpies and Grosvenor Eagles, CSSC Ramblers, Bromyard Beerswiggers and Spring Lane Ramblers.
The second division will be Ledbury Park Rangers and Exhaust, CSSC Nomads and Trojans, Manor Park Travellers and Oak, YMCA Vulcans, Crackpots 'E', Police 'B', Wanderers 'B' and Broadheath Bellters.
The third division will be Manor Park Amateurs, Allsorts and Wombats, Upton Ripples and 'B', Crackpots 'B' and 'C', CSSC Rovers, Abbeydowne, Abbey College and Police 'A'.
The league also welcomes a new second division secretary, Richard Cullis of Ledbury Exhaust which will bring a fresh young member to the committee.
