BANK holiday events attracted hundreds of visitors to the Vale yesterday (Monday) despite forecasts of heavy showers.
Pershore Plum Festival and farmers market was a success with crowds thronging to pick up some local produce at the event in Broad Street.
Springhill Horse Trials at Broadway attracted a large audience as well as nearly 300 entrants competing for a top slot.
Meanwhile in Great Comberton, flower and craft show organisers were celebrating a total of £4,000 raised during an afternoon of events. The clouds even lifted enough for a sky dive to take place into the Brailes Orchard venue.
