I READ with dismay Karen Lumley's attempt (Letters, August 9) to stir up the angst of parents in respect of Bridley Moor School.
Pandering to populist topics is not the way to provide people with facts.
Most secondary schools in Redditch (including Bridley Moor) fall below the national average. I am not attacking anyone by saying that - it is fact.
I believe I'm correct in saying the Redditch Review was started by the Tories and quite rightly so. It must be the aim of any fair-minded government to want the best results for all children.
I really do find it hard to swallow when a stranger moves into a town and tries to inflame people's genuine concerns.
If Mrs Lumley considers the other schools to be not up to standard, then it is surprising she is prepared to risk a lower standard of education for her own children as a price to further her own political career.
