A DERELICT petrol station in Studley is becoming an eyesore due to the amount of rubbish being left around.
The old Texaco garage in Alcester Road, which closed down more than a year ago, is now up for sale.
But youngsters who play on the site are leaving litter strewn around and have also been seen throwing bricks and stones.
Studley Parish Council has twice asked Stratford Council to contact the owners of the site to clear it up, most recently earlier this month.
Studley parish councillor Bill McCarthy said: "There has been an awful lot of litter down there and children throwing bricks about, which doesn't please residents nearby.
"I have asked Stratford Council to chase the owners to get the place cleared up.
"Developers have apparently shown interest in the site but it is becoming an eyesore at the moment."
The site also attracts youngsters with skateboards, something the parish council is trying to solve by building a small skatepark in the village.
But work to install ramps and rails for the skateboarders would cost about £20,000, a figure which would be too much for the parish council to fund as a single expense.
Mr McCarthy said Stratford Council might fund about £5,000 of the cost but the project would still be about two years away.
