THE stars of the future will all be out on Saturday as Redditch holds its very own awards night to pay homage to the talent of townsfolk.
The Redditch Carnival Millennium Talent Contest will feature 25 polished performances from people in their teens to their 50s with a variety of dancing, music and singing talents on show.
The acts will then be deliberated on for a winner in three different age categories by four judges, one of them being this year's carnival queen Caroline Chew.
The lucky winners will be presented with an Oscar-style trophy (pictured), and given a mini Oscar-type trophy which is theirs to keep for their achievement, provided by contest sponsor Redditch Advertiser.
It will be held at Arrow Valley Social Club on Saturday from 7pm. The acts kick off at 7.30pm.
Admission is £2 for adults and £1 for children.
