A TEENAGER who was badly hurt after his red Austin Metro was in collision with a recovery truck, has died from his injuries.
Thomas Townsend, known to his family as Ben, of Chesworth Road, Bromsgrove, died in Redditch's Alexandra Hospital on Saturday night.
The 18-year-old sustained serious head injuries in an accident on the main B4184 Birmingham Road, Norton, at the junction with Walton Road in the early hours of Saturday.
Seconds before the crash he had dropped off his sister Laura at her boyfriend's house.
The driver of the white Ford recovery truck, Richard Stevens, 25, of Selly Oak, Birmingham, was treated for shock.
Inquiries are continuing into the accident, which took place at 12.10am, and anyone who may have seen it or was in the area is asked to contact PC Tony Platt at Bromsgrove Police Station on 01527 584888, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
