DAVID Birtwhistle was interested that St John's was not included in the model of 17th century Worcester at the Commandery.
Of course, nothing west of the Severn was part of the Faithful City then.
Subsequently, however he changed his tune, and appeared to be banging his head while declaring adamantly that St John's does not exist, even now, in the third millennium. I was mystified.
However, on a subsequent visit to the Civil War Museum, I found that another model of Worcester was now on view that shows nothing but green fields stretching away where we know the Westside to be. St John's does exist, Mr Birtwhistle. I've been there.
D E MARGRETT,
Worcester.
